Made by a raver, made to trade
Every piece here is fused by hand from perler beads: laid out bead by bead on a pegboard, ironed on both sides and finished on ball chain, a keyring or a totem pole. Small batches, made between shows.
Why trade pieces
At shows, kandi and perlers are given and traded, not just worn. A trade usually happens through a handshake: you connect with someone first, then pass the piece from your hand to theirs. Pieces on the right wrist are for trading; the ones on the left wrist stay.
That handshake comes from PLUR, short for Peace, Love, Unity and Respect, the shared values many people in the dance-music scene live by. It belongs to the community, not to any store, so we do not put it on a label.
Not a replacement for making your own
The best kandi is the kind you make yourself. We are here for the times you are short on time before a show, want a piece that takes a pegboard and an iron, or want something custom fused for your crew.
What we make
- Perler necklaces, each in the size it was designed at, on a pony-bead strand or a ball chain; some fused with glow-in-the-dark beads.
- Totem toppers and full totems on a lightweight telescoping pole.
- Small pieces for trading: mini charms, kandi cuffs and keychains.
We ship within the US only.
