About this piece
A pink axolotl with frilly gills, fused from 388 classic perler beads on a 29 × 20 peg grid. It comes on a pony-bead strand in its own colours with “HAPPY GILLS” in letter beads, or on a 24 in ball chain if you prefer.
We fuse it by hand from our own chart and iron both sides until the beads bond, so every piece comes out a little different.

Designed on a 29 × 20 peg grid, 388 beads, the widest of the originals at 5.7 inches across and 3.9 tall. Pink fills the body, magenta marks the frilly gills, and a black outline holds the shape. HAPPY GILLS rides on a strand of pink, magenta, bright white and aqua pony beads.
